In 1981,  Fidel Hernandez, Sr., my father, began handcrafting exquisite platinum and 18K rings for upscale establishments such as Alexander Horn & Company, Beifeld Jewelers and Sydney Rosen Company. 

I learned the trade from watching him as a young apprentice on Jewelers’ Row and subsequently went on to work for Paul Morelli Design Inc. and Main Line Jewelers. I later served as a in-house diamond setter and master jeweler for The Jewelry Factory in Norristown, PA. 

In 2003, I opened my own repair studio providing outstanding service to over a dozen jewelry stores in the in the greater Philadelphia area.

In 2006 with the gold market at an all-time high, my wife Frances (a GIA Diamonds Grader) and I founded FH Goldbuyers. Our company was featured on CBS3, NBC10 News and KYW News Radio 1060 (among other local media outlets) for the most money paid for gold and diamonds in the Tri-state area. That success led us to launch five more stores in which customers could sell their unwanted jewelry.

In 2019, we opened our newest location in Kissimmee, FL where we provide complete jewelry and watch services, most done the same day.
